How we write our guides
- We base numbers such as ratios, temperatures and brew times on published standards (for example, the Specialty Coffee Association) and on named experts. Where sources disagree, we give the range.
- We update guides when standards, prices or products change, and every post shows the date it was last updated.
- We don’t make health claims beyond what the evidence supports, and we mark illustrative images as illustrative.
